Well, have you ever had that moment when you had forgotten your lunch or you forgot you had a really long and tough day, so you just walked to the vending machine to get some good but unbelieveably unhealthy food.
To change our trips to the vending machine to our locker for healthy and delicious food, I have some great tips and tricks.
At first, you should always have checked your timetable the night before you go to school. Just to prevent you take the wrong books or that you forget books. But you can also check how tough and long your day is. If you have tests or gym, I would take more food with me, but when I have just normal classes. I bring a normal amount of lunch and snacks.
To bring your healthy lunch to school, you need lunchboxes. I have lunchboxes in different sizes so I can take all sort of food for lunch. You can buy them in the grocery shop, or stores like walmart, action and target. Just cheap stores with a lot of stuff.
Food is not everything you need, you also have to bring drinks to school. Here in Holland we used to get milk to school. But milk isn't as good for you as you think, because your body can't digest the lactose, so your stomach is getting irritated. So I prefer water or selfmade lemonade. If you re-use a plastic bottle, you have to replace that after a few days. The plastic is not made for long use. I prefer a bottle from Voss, urban outfitters and blogilates.
Anne is going to post a healthy lunch or dinner recipe, so you can use that one. But yoghurt with apple or banana is also really good. I usually eat a salad combined with yoghurt as lunch and bring fruits to snack.
The best tip ever is simply to not bring money with you. If you really need money, you can borrow it!
Everybody has hunger to sweets sometimes. So when I'm in one of those moments, I make usually banana with peanutbutter and chocolat.
It's really simple, you just cut the banana in pieces and freeze it with peanutbutter between two pieces. When they're frozen, you melt the chocolat and dip it. Make them cold and bon appetit! To make your bonbon more tasty, sprinkle some coconut or almonds over it.
Love,
Judith
